Walk the Whale

"Pools of Sorrow, Waves of Joy”

About Us

Walk the Whale. funny name, right? What started as a somewhat less-than-wholesome nickname for a friend’s overweight dog has become a metaphor for the whimsy and power that define our music. Like a cross between Boy Genius and Jukebox the Ghost, we play in the space between sincerity and irony, playing tunes that get your toes tapping and leave you with some catharsis.

The band is the indie rock project of frontman and keyboard player Logan Castro. Starting as a solo project, it has undergone a few incarnations since then; from duo, to trio, to its current lineup as a full five-piece rock band.

a very introspective aesthetic, thus managing to create a very solid identity that immediately connects with a young and sublime audience.
— Rockola Indie
reminiscent of the work of the band “Silk Sonic,” and anyone familiar with that project knows we’re talking about fine and grand things.
— Indie Dream
[...] just the thing to make you feel better in the midst of so much chaos.
